When it comes to premium hams, special attention should be paid to the thickness of the slices. Hams are cut into thinner slices than durable sausages. Depending on the diameter, the thickness of the slices should vary between 0.8 and 1.2 mm. It is best to cut the slices as thinly as possible. Ham should be cut exclusively crosswise, never lengthwise.
Deli Ham tastes best when sliced thin and served with semi-hard piquant cheese like Emmentaler or Gauda cheese. You can also serve it with asparagus, artichokes or Salad Olivier. Deli Ham can be wrapped in bread dough and baked in the oven.
